Meet Andrew

Andrew is a construction, infrastructure and energy lawyer focussed on the development of projects principally in the energy and resources and commercial property sectors.

He advises principals, contractors, owners, operators and other project participants on contracts relating to all stages of a project, including contracts for tenure acquisition, engineering, procurement and construction, operation and maintenance and long-term offtake arrangements.  He also provides advice on permitting and regulatory issues associated with such developments.

Andrew has worked on a variety of major projects across Australia, including power stations, gas and water pipelines, cogeneration and tri-generation plants, renewable energy projects and gas processing facilities.

Experience

General

Cooper Energy

Advised Cooper Energy on its $250 million deal with APA for the sale and development of the Orbost Gas Plant to facilitate the development of the Sole Gas Field.

University of Adelaide

Advised the University on the tendering and contracting arrangements for the $246 million Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences Building.

Mitsubishi

Advised on the consultancy and construction contract packages for the $100 million Port Bonython Fuels Project.

SkyCity Adelaide

Advised on the proposed $300 million expansion of the Adelaide Casino and construction of a new boutique hotel.

Australia Pacific LNG

Advised on construction contracts for the high pressure gas pipeline network and associated water pipelines for the $25 billion Australia Pacific LNG Project.

Major energy infrastructure company

Advised on the procurement, construction and permitting aspects of a bid to build, own and operate the proposed North East Gas Interconnector.
