Jim is experienced in a wide range of fund-raising and financing transactions, in particular in the areas of capital markets, derivatives and acquisition finance. The kinds of transactions Jim has been involved with include listed equity and debt issues, convertible bonds, acquisition finance, synthetic CDOs, securitisations, syndicated financings and project finance. Jim has acted for leading international and domestic financial institutions and corporates in their various roles, including as issuers, borrowers, arrangers, underwriters, mezzanine and subordinated lenders, trustees and swap providers.

Recent major transactions in which Jim has been involved include the issue of $220m credit wrapped capital indexed notes by Envestra and negotiating the terms of the acquisition financing for the hostile takeover offers by Allco Equity Partners for Baycorp and Wattyl.
