What happened? In February 2009, the Federal Court declared Harris Scarfe guilty of misleading or deceptive conduct under section 52 of the Trade Practices Act (TPA) and making false or misleading representations with respect to the price of goods under section 53(e) of the TPA in relation to its promotion of a clearance sale through a sale catalogue.
