JWS expands into Perth
National firm JWS will be expanding its operations with the opening of an office in Perth in late February following the recruitment of leading Perth lawyers, Mick Dulaney and Peter Smith from Freehills.

The focus of the firm's move into Perth will be on corporate transactions and resource projects.

Managing Partner Peter Slattery said of the expansion “The opening of a Perth office with the addition of Mick Dulaney and Peter Smith to the partnership deepens the firm's corporate and energy expertise and provide us with a range of connections in the corporate and resources sector in Western Australia”.

Mick Dulaney specialises in energy and related regulatory matters, with particular expertise in LNG projects. Peter Smith practises as a corporate lawyer servicing mining and energy sector clients across a range of corporate and commercial activities.

“With our 2 new partners as the cornerstone, we anticipate our Perth office will expand relatively quickly over the next 2-3 years with the recruitment of additional practitioners with expertise in the corporate, mining and energy sectors.” said Slattery. “It is a very exciting time for us and we are looking forward to developing new relationships in Western Australia”.
