CPRS Update - February 2010

The Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) set out in the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) Bill was defeated in the Senate on 2 December 2009 by 41 votes to 33. The Government has stated it will re-introduce the CPRS Bill in February 2010 in the form agreed with the Liberals (24 November 2009) before their leadership spill. The key points of the Scheme are detailed in this update.
